Jenson lives with his mum and his stepdad in a house far away from his dad. When his parents split up, things changed, and sometimes that feels hard. Jenson misses his dad a lot. But he loves seeing him on the weekends. They hug tightly every time they meet, and Jenson never wants to let go too quickly.
At home, Jenson has his very best friend — his dog, Bounce. Bounce has waggy ears and a tail that never stops swishing. Jenson takes Bounce on long walks in the woods. They crunch through leaves, race along the path, and sometimes Jenson pretends they are explorers on a big adventure.
Jenson loves football more than anything. He kicks the ball around the garden and practices his best goals. “I want to be a footballer when I’m older,” he says proudly. “So I will teach you how to be healthy and strong!” He shows his mum and stepdad how to stretch, run fast, and drink lots of water.
He also enjoys playing tennis, swinging his racket high and low. And when he’s not playing sports, he rides his BMX bike up and down the path, zooming past with a big smile.
Jenson is very clever at inventing new games. Sometimes he makes up football challenges. Other times, he creates treasure hunts in the woods for him and Bounce. His imagination is full of exciting ideas.
Even though Jenson misses his dad during the week, he keeps their special memories in his heart. At the weekend, they play football together in the park, and Jenson tells him all about his new games and adventures with Bounce.
Jenson knows that even if homes change and people live far apart, love doesn’t change. And with his football dreams, his speedy BMX, and his loyal dog by his side, Jenson feels brave, strong, and ready for anything.
